Hello and welcome to our website.

Our names are Clair and Chris and we are small hobby breeders of the Selkirk Rex.

The Selkirk Rex is a new and exciting breed to the UK, only being on our shores since 2002. We are working with lines that were imported from America and Europe by some of the original breeders of this breed here in the UK.

The biggest of thank you's must go to these breeders for sharing their wonderful babies with us and for their continued support and help that they have given to us over the last two years. You know who you are, thank you, thank you!

So what is a Selkirk Rex? The clowns of the cat world are what they are. One is never enough as they are an infectious breed to own and they will just love you to bits. They also enjoy the company of other cats and dogs, whatever the breed.

Here at Pococurl our aim is to breed good type, healthy, fun loving bundles of joy. We only have a few litters a year and hope to produce kittens of both long and shorthair. We aim to produce the colours of Chocolate and Lilac with or without White and sometimes in Tabby, but also have the newer colours of Cinnamon and Fawn available from time to time.

Our prefix is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA for short). Their link can be found at the side of this page. We are voting members of this association and adhere to their voluntary code of ethics.

We will only breed with cats that are PKD negative or come from PKD negative lines and we are a FIV and FELV testing cattery.

We very much want our babies to go to loving pet homes but we also welcome enquiries from other breeders, who we know or who have been recommended to us as breeders with good standing.
